Otjiwarongo Secondary School
1953 – 2012 OSS is a school with a proud history that had its origin in 1953 with Mr. C.J. Wessels as the school’s first headmaster. The school started with 170 learners from Gr. 8-12. The numbers quickly increased to 400 enrolled learners in 1959. These numbers increased steadily to 620 learners in 2004 and grew even further to a staggering number of almost 800 learners in 2012! OSS has developed into a multi-cultural school, preparing learners from our society to be proud citizens of Namibia. OSS serves the broader community by opening and expanding the minds of their learners in order to cope with the expectations of a young and independent nation in Africa. We believe that a mind stimulated by new ideas will never stagnate. HISTORY Principals: 1953 Mr. C. J.
